According to the European Federation of the Trade in Dried Fruit & Edible Nuts, Processed Fruit & Vegetables, Processed Fishery products, Spices, Honey (FRUCOM), the vote on the Draft Regulation concerning the use of bisphenol A (BPA) in varnishes and coatings intended to come into contact with food has been postponed until early 2017. The decision is linked to the on-going discussions and potential vote on the draft Regulation on endocrine disrupters (EDC).It is expected that the Draft Regulation on BPA will be voted in February 2017.For further information, please contact us at inc@nutfruit.org.
