The Draft Commission Regulation amending Regulation (EC) 1881/2006 as regards maximum levels of perchlorate in certain foods had favorable opinion, according to the European Federation of the Trade in Dried Fruit & Edible Nuts, Processed Fruit & Vegetables, Processed Fishery products, Spices, Honey (FRUCOM). The summary of the meeting is not yet available.

The Draft sets an ML for perchlorate in fruits and vegetables at 0.05 mg/kg, excepting cucurbitaceae and kale at 0.10 mg/kg and leaf vegetables and herbs at 0.50 mg/kg. Nuts are excluded.
