UNECE Agricultural Quality Standards

The Chairperson of the Specialized Section on Standardization of Dry and Dried Produce, Mr. Dorian LaFond reported on the progress made in the last session, held in July 5-7, 2017, regarding to the review of the existing UNECE draft Standard for Inshell Almond and Walnuts Kernels; the development of the electronic Brochure for Walnuts Kernels; the new standards for Dried Coconut Pieces, Dried Bananas and Dried Papaya; and the Explanatory Poster for Dried Apricots.
 
During the session, the following documents were adopted:
 

• Amended Standard for Walnut Kernels
• Revised Standard for Inshell Almonds
• Explanatory Poster for Dried Apricots
• Standard for Dried Coconut Pieces (as a Recommendation for a 1-year trial period)
• Standard for Dried Bananas (as a Recommendation for a 1-year trial period)
